This online event brings two communities of Christians together, pastors and professional placemakers–that is architects, urban designers, planners, and developers–for a learning exchange. The purpose is to equip the church to better love and serve people by helping to design, build, and retrofit neighborhoods, towns, and cities so people can flourish.

The built-environment, that is the physical design of the streets, parks, stores, offices, houses, etc., that communities inhabit, is often overlooked as an area that exercises a big impact on human wellbeing. LYN:3 provides an opportunity for Christian leaders to learn biblical insights and pick up practical tools for placemaking by the church for the church, and for the common good.

Keynote from Jonathan Brooks

This is the third year the CNU Members Christian Caucus has hosted LYN. Normally we meet during the annual Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU), which is hosted in a different city each year, but this year due to the pandemic CNU is moving online and so are we. Although we will miss our face-to-face gathering and experiencing Minneapolis/St. Paul, are excited about this opportunity to reach people from all over the country and around the world through our partners, the Urban Shalom SocietyProximity Project, and the Parish Collective.
