Just finished up a wonderful few days as the keynote speaker at the annual Canadian Baptists of Ontario & Quebec “Reignite” leadership conference. All the Bapist leaders and their partners are invited to pause their regular day-to-day work, and gather at a beautiful retreat space to gather as a conference, reconnect with friends, engage in spiritual direction, worship together, and receive some teaching.

I was invited to introduce The New Parish, and share some of the discoveries from my ongoing work of listening for what we might learn from other people, faith groups, and neighborhoods as they seek to discover and practice faithful Christ-like presence in place since the book first came out. I had five sessions:

  1. Why We need a New Parish
  2. What is the New Parish
  3. Emerging New Parish Theologies
  4. Practicing the New Parish
  5. New Parish Leadership Discoveries

Thanks again everyone. It was a pleasure to be with y’all.

Peace, dwight

Great Time with the CBOQ
