Today my son, Pascal goes in for surgery to have his adenoids removed and his second set of drainage tubes installed in his ears.  He’s 3.5 years old and suffered with non-stop ear infections for at least three of those years.  Even though we’ve been though the ear tube surgery before, and the doctors assure us that it is about as routine as a surgery can be, its still our son being operated on. Its his body, his fears, his memories, and worries. He’ll be under a general anesthetic.

Well, we’re off to the hospital, if you’re a praying person, I’d welcome your thoughts and prayers for Pascal’s surgery.

Peace, dwight

Pascal‘s surgery went very well. We were at the hospital at 7:30AM, by 9:00 Lynette and I watched him inhale his bubblegum flavored anesthetic as the procedure began. 20-30 minutes latter the procedure was complete and a brave and frightened boy was back in the arms of his mommy. By the afternoon he was running around and playing without “squeaky ears.”

Thanks to for your thoughts and prayers; posts, emails and calls.

    peace, dwight
