What does it mean to proclaim Christ?
This fall I will be guiding/teaching a coarse for a college on public speaking in ministry – preaching. One of my personal challenges is I don’t preach in “that way” any more. Should I simply create tension for my students, deny them a one-to-one relationship in communication, push them toward dialogue, encourage midrash, Socratically guide them to Christ/self discovery, etc. There is no point in teaching points. There is NO point to Christianity.
I’m open to suggestions.
