Last Saturday, at the end of the end of the Winter trimester low residency retreat, The Seattle School held its “Day of Scholarship.” There was a fantastic scholarship poster session showcasing some exciting submissions from current students, alumni, staff, and my fellow faculty. This was followed by two sessions of panel presentations.

The general theme of the first grouping of presentations focused on “shaping one’s research question,” and the second grouping of presentations focused on “furthering the conversation.” I was a panelist & presenter in the second grouping.

I was invited to share some of the story of my ongoing collaboration with UN-Habitat, Urban Shalom Society, Parish Collective and others in the process of mobilizing and implementing the UN’s SDGs as a faithful expression of local religious and spiritual communities’ values, beliefs, narratives, practices, rituals, etc. This is a multifaith and global effort and it is super rewarding. This was my first opportunity to tell this story in a public venue… very grateful for the opportunity.

Here is my slide deck from my presentation… not sure it makes sense without narration but thought I’d post it anyway.

Peace, dwight
