In October I will have the privilege and responsibility to offer a neighborhood-rooted, grassroots-parish, faith-based, gift-economy perspective, that is so vital to the ongoing conversation about sustainable urban economics.
The City of Toronto is hosting (in-person & on-line) the fourth convening of Urban Economy Forum. UEF is organization that collaborates with the United Nations system and international partners to accelerate the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), particularly SDG 11, through innovative and practical solutions to urban management, economy, and resources.
Below are three resource documents which I commend to anyone who cares about, or who carries some responsibility to help villages, neighborhoods, or cities wisely care for the land, inhabitants, and systems of the place where they live.
It really would be great if you could find a way participate in this important conversation… I am convinced not only that the world needs more people with imaginations for God’s shalom to engage these vital themes, but your city needs to hear the voices of the people inhabiting your neighborhood – register here!
Peace, dwight
