On October 11th at the Church of the Resurrection in the Lake Hills neighborhood of Bellevue I will begin a short series of conversations introducing folks to all things “Emerging Church.”
Its going to be a blast to pull together the various narratives, characters, church expressions, spiritualities, emerging values, conversational sensibilities, liturgical experimentation, key writings, philosophical/theological/biblical questions, missional orientations, entrepreneurial spirit, wholistic formational commitments, and so much more into a somewhat coherent conversation. I hope can be faithful to its strengths, honest about its failings, while reflecting acutely something of its desired future. Why is this movement so white?
