Got to go down to Portland at the invitation of Karen Ward to participate in an emergent conversation within the Episcopal Church. The event is “Episcopal Village West.” Its so cool to see more of denominations and faith traditions further this avant-church conversation by attending more deeply to the wealth of their respective traditions.
I was primarily there to help steward the conversation in the generous and invitational spirit of emergent… and I also got to offer a workshop called:
Networked Church – Missional Community in a Connective World
In which I drew on Thy Kingdom Connected, to explore how the network theories driving Facebook and Google are transforming our understanding of life, church, and mission.
