Today is the international observance of World Water Day. World Water Day is a nearly 15 year old initiative that grew out of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development.

I dpon’t know how many realize how much the West Bank/Gaza/Israel situation revolves around water. A lot if interest is on the wall, but not enough on water.
From a technology standpoint, a decent amount of water can be desalted with a passive solar system. This provides cheap water, without global warming.
From an economic standpoint, we should be looking at reusing water – gray water can be used for agriculture, and buying stuff needing less water (free range cattle).
