The other day our Quest community invested some imaginational energy exploring possible pathways to even richer communal expression, even more faithful presence with the Divine, one another, our neighbors, creation, and ourselves. The following are just some of the thoughts. It amazing to us how difficult it can be to imagine beyond the systems and structures of “church” as we have known it. What does it mean to gather? And unto what do to gather? Given who we are, where we are, and that we are meeting now… what might be God’s dare to us?
- Needing a regular structure in order to share “self.”
- It’s always insecure.
- The power of touch and physical gathering.
- More communication around the morphing of structure.
- Fear that we will cease to be and meet.
- Weekly structure provides a regular place to be.
- What is a whole person & whole community spirituality within Cascadia?
- What is balance in our context? Is it even a helpful category?
- Intimacy
- Spiritually led
- Inward – Outward dynamic
This short list likely won’t make much sense if you weren’t participating in the conversation… here it is anyway.
Peace, dwight
