Text always says what we are willing, or open to let it say at any given moment; it can never say more. By faith I sense that the Spirit am be inviting more… the Spirit seems to let the reality of time, place, relationships, and culture(s) change us then we go back to the text and see what it says “now.”

I leave no room for absolutes in the text. Text can only point to absolutes. The text itself not truth, and contains no truth.

Any reading of Scripture within a Christ-community (assuming the active presence of God) will lead the I/Us to incarnate Christ in their affective spheres. Truth is not an abstraction, but a reality to know and discover relationally.

Peace, dwight

Absolutely… “Not”
