Points of doctrine, apologetics, reason, objective truth and being able to spout the right answers were the signs I used to show I was growing.
If Truth is a person, as Jesus claims he is. Any the than maybe any objectification of Truth will loose the essence of his person. Just as male’s objectification of women, reduces a woman to an object for his self-gratification. Rendering her uniqueness useless, an un-person, just a body for another’s pleasure, not a person to be known.
Even as I write this, it sounds a lot like modernity’s pursuit of knowledge. When we objectify Truth – do we loose the essence of Truth (Truth as a person), rending Him an unperson, just an idea for spiritual self-actualization?
