Every so often I get to be part of a conversation that doesn’t offer easy answers, but instead opens new questions worth living into. This webinar was one of those gifts.

Together with Joel Kiekintveld and psychologist Paul Hoard, we explored what becomes possible when we honor the wisdom of theology and psychology while also recognizing that the challenges of our moment invite us beyond the familiar spaces of church pews and therapy couches… and all this was orchestrated by our fearless leader, the incomparable Lauren Peiser.

What if healing, formation, and transformation are not primarily about mastery or certainty, but about learning new ways of being present—with ourselves, one another, and the mystery of G-d?

Drawing on the work of Jacques Lacan and Philip Rieff, our conversation imagines alternative ways of speaking, listening, and becoming that resist the modern impulse toward control and instead cultivate humility, relationship, and openness. I hope you’ll find something here that stirs your own imagination.

Thanks for watching, and I’d love to hear what resonates with you.

Peace, dwight
