Well, I’m very excited that UN-Habitat’s 12th convening of the World Urban Forum is just a few days away. WUF is the world’s premier conference on sustainable urbanization. This year – for the first time – there is a Faith Pavilion showcasing the many vital ways religious and spiritual traditions from all around our planet are already mobilizing people to imagine and work toward a more just and sustainable world for all and everything, as faithful expressions of their respective traditions. So cool!

You can view some aspects of WUF12 online.

If you would like to get involved in this urgent conversation, highlight some of the ways your faith tradition is engaging this work, would like to learn more, or want to be inspired by what other traditions are doing, consider joining Faith for Cities.

I am very sad, to say that I’ve run into unforeseen Passport and Visa issues preventing me from participating in WUF12 in Cairo, as I have been planning for the last two years. While this breaks my heart, I hold so much gratitude that the work is moving forward, and for the many people and partnering organizations contributing to its success.

Peace, dwight
