This weekend I will be guiding Seattle’s Calvary Chapel in their Fall retreat (October 24-26, 2008). Through conversation with their leadership team I’ll be blending spiritual practices, group engagements, and teaching times to invite them to center their thoughts and practices around And’ing, or seeing & living connectively. “For the Love of And’ing” – Our three sessions will be:
. . . & Rest
Rest has almost become an unusual luxury in our fast paced often busy society, so much so that taking rest seriously is almost an act of counter cultural resistance. Session one will guide us into rest as a vital and’ing practice.
. . . & Wrestle
In a world marked by choosing sides, our second session will guide us into the gift of wrestling with God, one another and our culture.
. . . & Play
What does the Christian life have to do with “play”? The final session will guide us into a Christian theology and practice of play.
Peace, dwight
