Last night I had the opportunity to take a few minutes in a class at Mars Hill Grad School to present a boiled-down version of my Scale-Free Kingdom/Churches as Christ-Clusters paradigm.

Dr. Bryan Burton who is guiding the theology course has been so encouraging of me. I am serving as his grader, though I probably act a bit more like a TA). My presentation seemed to connect with some, as it generated some excellent questions. There were a few questions raised I really didn’t have robust responses to, which thrills me. It was so helpful to present these ideas to a group of thinking people who haven’t heard me talk about them before.

The following video – which is on a loop – is an example of mapping the growth of a scale-free network, in this case, you are seeing a model of the growth of a yeast protein. This kind of modeling of live systems may yield a more dynamic imagination for how humans link, and cluster in local groups, within God’s scale-free kingdom.

This video shows the growth of a yeast protein (scale-free network)
