Today is the Day for Peace
Watch and truly listen to this brief message from Kofi Annan. Many people around the world are observing a minute of silence in prayer for peace at noon today.

Kofi Annan is too general in his appeal for peace. UN appeals for high-profile crises around the world, such as in Burundi, Chad and Cote d’Ivoire, have received much less donations than high profile disasters like the Tsunami. The UN needs to work on preserving the independence of tribal peoples and small countries and eliminate the impact of resource wars on their cultures.
