As Christ-followers we say we trust the Spirit to guide us into all truth. Which we have collapsed into something we have come to label Orthodoxy… why is orthodoxy such a big deal? Is the Spirit untrustworthy? Unreliable?

I wonder whether the “return to religion” in philosophy is a reaction to the loss of hope that truth could be found through objective means. So philosophers in order to justify their pursuits turn to the transcendent to regain their hope for truth.

I’m beginning to sense the the modern idea of truth is a distraction from living the Jesus way… what I’m finding to be more helpful is to imagine the Spirit of God as guiding us to open to to what is most real… which I would understand as the Divine, the reign of God, as seen in the person of Jesus of Nazareth.

Peace, dwight

In reality, no single religion could guarantee us a place in Heaven. In the end, what matters is how we a treat other people.~.,
